ISLAMABAD – BYD Pakistan has announced a price-lock facility for customers who complete their vehicle purchases by the end of August, allowing them to secure the applicable prices amid changes in Pakistan’s tax policies and uncertainty in the automobile market.

Mega Motor Company (MMC), the official partner of BYD in Pakistan, said the offer applies to customers who complete their purchase during August 2026.

The company said customers with existing bookings can secure the current applicable manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) by clearing their outstanding balance.

Customers making new bookings can also benefit from the price lock, provided they make full payment by August 31, 2026.

BYD prices unchanged since 2024

According to MMC, BYD has maintained its vehicle prices at their respective launch levels since entering the Pakistani market in 2024.

The company said the decision to offer a price lock comes as Pakistan continues to await a new auto policy following the expiry of the previous policy in July 2026.

Changes in the tax landscape have also created uncertainty for vehicle buyers and automakers.

MMC said the price-lock facility is intended to give customers greater certainty over the cost of their BYD vehicles while market conditions continue to evolve.
