ISLAMABAD – In light of recent developments, Pakistan condemned US attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities, along with several Israeli strikes which followed, on Sunday.
The spokesperson for the Foreign Office said:
“We are deeply concerned about the potential for further escalation of tensions in the region. These attacks violate international law, and Iran has the legitimate right to defend itself under the UN Charter,” stated the Spokesperson.
The rising tension in the Middle East is quite alarming, which could potentially in further deterioration of the situation and have a lasting impact on the entire region and the entire world.
The spokesperson urged the protection of civilian lives and properties and the immediate end to the conflict. Furthermore, he asserted that every country involved should respect and follow International law, specifically International Humanitarian Law.
