SEOUL – Apple replaced its SE series with the new iPhone 16e back in February. Since then, this question has arisen in the tech world: whether there will be an ‘e’ model for every year or not.
If we examine the previous SE lineup, there was a gap of more than a year between every model; for example, the iPhone SE 2 was released in 2020, and the SE3 was released in 2022. But according to tech experts, the new naming signs towards the annual releases for Apple’s budget smartphone.
Moreover, a report from Korea confirms that there will be an iPhone 17e next spring. Its display will be the same as the iPhone 16e, so we can expect upgrades in the other departments, but not in the display.
It has been reported that BOE, Samsung Display, and LG Display will supply the display panels for iPhone 17e.
