ISLAMABAD – Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Health Services Dr Zafar Mirza on Wednesday rejected the theory that hot weather can stop or slow the spread of Coronavirus.
It is totally wrong concept that the summer season can mitigate the effects of the spreading of COVID-19, the minister clarified in a press conference held in the federal capital.
He said deaths and infections of the virus in Pakistan are lower than projected numbers adding that the government is trying to control and limit the spread of the pandemic.
Pakistan recorded 4,183 confirmed cases while 58 deaths so far.
