Gulf Air resumes Pakistan operations with Islamabad flight

LAHORE – Gulf Air has announced to resume its direct flights from Islamabad International airport to Bahrain from Sunday (May 31).

The national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain said the flights will only operate one-way with passengers from Pakistan, which is in compliance with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) in Pakistan.

More direct flights from other cities in Pakistan are expected to be added in the coming days, the airline said in press statement on Saturday.

Pakistan, we are back! Outbound flights from Pakistan are resuming again starting with our first flight from Islamabad on 31 May 2020!

Due to the Novel Coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak, the airline has temporarily suspended all flights to its 7 destinations in Pakistan (Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Faisalabad, Multan, Sialkot and Peshawar) in compliance with the order from the Civil Aviation Authority in The Islamic Republic of Pakistan from 21 March 2020.

Gulf Air, which was one of the few airlines regionally and globally to operate scheduled flights during the outbreak, said it will continue to monitor the readiness of airports with a view to resuming operations to its network.
