ISLAMABAD – On the eve of the 26th Martyrdom Anniversary of the legend of Kargil, the Pakistani Armed Forces paid tribute to the war legend.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), stated in tribute to Captain Karnal Sher Khan in which the ISPR said that the Pakistani Armed Forces, under the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, and in unison with Chief of Air Staff and Chief of Naval Staff pays solemn tribute to the war hero Captain Karnal Sher Khan Shaheed Nishan-e-Haider on the occasion of his 26th martyrdom anniversary.
The released statement further added that the Armed Forces stand proud and honor the extraordinary courage and unwavering patriotism displayed by Captain Karnal Sher Khan for his legendary sacrifice during the Kargil War in 1999.
Captain Karnal Sher Khan’s sacrifice became a symbol of valiant leadership and battlefield heroism, as he was a man of action who led from the frontlines under hostile conditions, and displayed unmatched bravery during the conflict for which he earned the nation’s highest military gallantry award, Nishan-e-Haider.
ISPR added that his actions reflect the highest standards of military valor and devotion to a soldier’s duty. It said that Captain Karnal Sher Khan Shaheed’s legacy has inspired and continues to inspire generations of soldiers and citizens alike.
On a solemn day, the Armed Forces reaffirmed their dedication to the principles of loyalty, courage, and honor embodied by Captain Karnal Sher Khan. They promised to defend the country against all threats with the same selfless and patriotic spirit. The legacy of Captain Karnal Sher Khan Shaheed is a symbol of national pride and resilience, firmly established in the nation’s memory.
