KARACHI – realme has launched its 16 Pro Series 5G in Pakistan, introducing a new lineup of smartphones aimed at users seeking advanced photography features, strong performance, and extended battery life.

The company said the series highlights a “200MP Portrait Master” camera system, positioning the devices as a major step forward in mobile imaging within their segment.

The lineup includes three variants: the realme 16 Pro+ (12GB RAM, 512GB storage) priced at Rs199,999, the realme 16 Pro (12GB RAM, 512GB storage) at Rs169,999, and the realme 16 5G (8GB RAM, 256GB storage) at Rs129,999.

Focus on camera technology

The Pro models feature a 200-megapixel camera system supported by what the company describes as a full focal periscope setup, aimed at improving portrait photography through enhanced depth and image clarity.

The base variant, realme 16 5G, comes with a 50MP Sony sensor, offering improved colour accuracy and natural skin tones. All devices in the series include a 50MP front camera and AI-based imaging features.

Performance and chipset

The realme 16 Pro+ is powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, built on a 4nm process, which the company claims delivers improved efficiency and performance. The realme 16 Pro uses the Dimensity 7300-Max chipset, while the realme 16 5G is equipped with the Dimensity 6400 Turbo processor.

Battery and charging

All three devices feature a 7,000mAh battery, with the Pro models supporting 80W fast charging and the base variant supporting 60W charging. According to the company, the battery is designed to retain over 80pc capacity for up to six years, supported by AI-based battery management.

Design and durability

The smartphones come with an IP69 rating for water and dust resistance. The company also highlighted a slim design for the base model, describing it as inspired by premium smartphone aesthetics.

Display and variants

The Pro models feature AMOLED displays with peak brightness of up to 6,500 nits, while the base variant offers up to 4,200 nits. The devices are available in multiple colour options, including gold, grey, purple, black, and white variants.

Market positioning

With its focus on high-resolution cameras, long battery life and mid-to-premium pricing, the company aims to attract younger users and content creators seeking a smartphone capable of replacing standalone cameras.
