LAHORE – Samsung the semiconductor giant known for its production of memory chips and displays failed at rolling out One UI 7 based on Android 15 to its devices in a timely fashion, however, it seems that the global leader in electronics wants thing to be different this time around for One UI 8 based on Android 16. The company released the first beta version of One UI 8 for the Galaxy S25 series.
Many people around the world still use Galaxy S24 or S23, with more than 60 million units combined having been sold. According to some rumours, the Galaxy S24 or S23 series may get the One UI 8 beta with Android 16.
Accordingly, the Samsung Galaxy S24 devices will be the first to get the first One UI 8 beta in late June or early July, while the Galaxy S23 family will be the one to wait until July. However, this doesn’t necessarily guarantee the timely rollout of the finalized version of One UI 8, but it’s still a good step forward by Samsung, nevertheless.
It is expected that the upgrade of One UI 8 will be much quicker as compared to One UI 7 due to it being a much smaller upgrade.
