LAHORE – The Lahore traffic police suspended licenses of 146 drivers involved in fatal and serious road accidents as authorities intensify action against dangerous driving practices across the city.
Lahore Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi said drivers found responsible for fatal accidents or serious non-fatal crashes will face strict legal action, including suspension of their driving licences.
He warned that anyone caught driving with a suspended licence will face criminal proceedings.
The move is part of Lahore Traffic Police’s efforts to reduce road accidents and improve compliance with traffic laws.
146 Driving Licenses Suspended In Accident Cases
According to CTO Lahore, licenses of 146 drivers involved in fatal and serious accidents have already been suspended.

Under the new approach, any driver found responsible for a fatal accident or a serious non-fatal accident will face licence suspension.
Officials said the suspension period for irresponsible driving cases will remain at least one year.
