WASHINGTON – A hacker group tied to Tehran has claimed responsibility for hacking Donald Trump’s emails, as 100GB of top secrets could be sold. The hacker group launched a massive cyberattack to obtain confidential data of over 100 GB belonging to notable and high-profile figures
The group members told the wire service that it might sell the stolen data but refused to give details about its content or how it would be used, as the emails came from key Trump allies, including White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, Trump lawyer Lindsey Halligan, political strategist Roger Stone, and Stormy Daniels.
The U.S. Attorney described the breach as unconscionable, while FBI Director Kash Patel cautioned that any compromise of national security would lead to aggressive federal prosecution. However, confirmation from the FBI and the White House is yet to be received because the extent or authenticity of the breach is not known, nor have they responded to requests for comments from those reportedly targeted.
