Protests organized against the administration of Roots Askari XI

Students are demanding the resignation of the Principal

LAHORE – In a surprising development, the students at Roots International School, Askari XI, took a stand by launching a protest against the administration, specifically the Principal, who allegedly didn’t fulfill the requirements that come along with charging a hefty amount for a welcome party hosted for freshers.

The reason for the protest was humorous but logical, as on September 30, the college administration charged students Rs. 4000 per student for the welcome party but the students were left speechless after they were just given biryani instead of a promised dinner, on the other hand a DJ night was set to take place however, it was soon replaced by a performance of a local singer, leading to student clashes.

Furthermore, the anger amongst the students heightened after recent student council elections in which the head boy and head girl were unfairly handpicked, along with a poorly managed sports event that led to further fights. Students are demanding the immediate resignation of the Principal.

The administration has dismissed these reports as a “misunderstanding” and urged silence on social media. The masses are now arguing whether such so-called premium schools and colleges are using their institutions to exploit the students and their parents by charging high fees, wasting money, and damaging the educational environment of our country.

The Roots administration reached out to Upfront at its Instagram handle and threatened Upfront with legal actions and consequences; however, our team had already verified every fact before publishing anything. An Upfront executive was also threatened with the removal of the clip from its social media page. Upfront has reiterated its stance on such matters and stands firm on its position to deliver accurate news to its audience. The Roots administration is urging that the matter be dealt with silently to avoid tarnishing the image of its institution, but such developments will come to light as Upfront won’t stop here.
