Fashionable Summer Accessories to Dress Up Your Travel Look

Good web design has visual weight, is optimized for various devices, and has content that is prioritized for the medium. The most important elements of a web page should have more visual weight to “naturally attract” a visitor’s attention.

Good design is making something intelligible and memorable. Great design is making something memorable and meaningful.

Dieter Rams

Most users search for something interesting (or useful) and clickable; as soon as some promising candidates are found, users click. If the new page doesn’t meet users’ expectations, the back button is clicked and the search process is continued.

A good website should be easy to navigate

Not all websites are made equal. Some websites are simple, logical, and easy to use. Others are a messy hodgepodge of pages and links.

How are innovations in robotics changing the way we perceive the world?

Without website navigation, your visitors can’t figure out how to find your blog, your email signup page, your product listings, pricing, contact information, or help docs.

Quick and easy access to the content they’re after is more important for your website users than a… visually-stunning design.

Creating visual rhythms in your layouts

In design, rhythm is created by simply repeating elements in predictable patterns. This repetition is a natural thing that occurs everywhere in our world. As people, we are driven everyday by predictable, timed events.

Why does Bluetooth use lossy rather than lossless compression

One of the best ways to use repetition and rhythm in web design is in the site’s navigation menu. A consistent, easy-to-follow pattern—in color, layout, etc. Gives users an intuitive roadmap to everything you want to share on your site.

  • Direct the Eye With Leading Lines
  • Balance Out Your Elements
  • Use Elements That Complement Each Other
  • Be clear about your “focal points” and where you place them

Diving into UX and UI design

UX and UI: Two terms that are often used interchangeably, but actually mean very different things. So what exactly is the difference?

Styles come and go. Good design is a language, not a style.

Massimo Vignelli

UX design refers to the term “user experience design”, while UI stands for “user interface design. Both elements are crucial to a product and work closely together. But despite their relationship, the roles themselves are quite different.

Breaking down the barriers

Design is not the end-all solution to all of the worlds problems — but with the right thinking and application, it can definitely be a good beginning to start tackling them.

LOS ANGELES – Fountain O, an artificial intelligence-focused film production company, has announced its second AI-generated feature film, Odysseus: The Fall, as it continues to explore the use of generative AI in full-length filmmaking.

The project is directed by filmmaker Ash Koosha, whose previous AI-generated feature, Dreams of Violets, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. According to the company, the new film was produced on a budget in the “mid-five figures” and offers a fresh interpretation of the Greek hero Odysseus.

The announcement comes shortly before the theatrical release of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, another adaptation of the classic Greek tale.

AI and traditional filmmaking

Koosha said he hopes the release of Nolan’s film will encourage audiences to compare conventional filmmaking with AI-assisted production. He described AI as a creative tool that lowers the barriers to filmmaking rather than replacing storytellers.

According to Fountain O, Odysseus: The Fall was produced using AI-generated actors, virtual sets and digital cameras. However, the screenplay, visual direction and character performances were developed under human creative supervision.

A different take on Odysseus

The company described the 135-minute feature as a psychological retelling of Odysseus’ journey home, focusing on memory, guilt and redemption instead of presenting a traditional heroic adventure. Koosha said compelling stories would always depend on human creativity regardless of the technology used during production.

AI tools used in production

Fountain O said the film was produced using several AI platforms, including Kling for video generation, Google Gemini for research, Claude AI for language editing and Google Nanobanana for image generation. The company also relied on its own proprietary production software.

Executive chairman Tom Rogers said the project aims to demonstrate how AI can expand access to filmmaking while allowing audiences to compare AI-assisted productions with traditional big-budget movies.

ISLAMABAD – Hollywood actor Tom Holland and football superstar Erling Haaland have become the focus of a viral moment after the Spider-Man star revealed that the Norwegian striker ignored his message.

Tom Holland confirmed that he reached out to Erling Haaland and invited him to dinner, but the Manchester City forward never replied. The surprising incident quickly gained attention online, with many fans initially believing it was only a joke.

However, Holland later confirmed the story himself during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Tom Holland and Erling Haaland’s Viral Message Exchange

During his interview, Jimmy Fallon asked Tom Holland whether the reports about his unanswered message to Erling Haaland were true.

The actor confirmed that the incident actually happened and described it as a humbling experience.

“I’ll tell you what, that is exactly the type of humbling experience that is important for actors,” Holland said.

The Spider-Man star explained that he had tried to introduce himself and invite Haaland for dinner. However, the footballer never responded to his message.

Holland joked that Haaland did not even provide an excuse for not replying.

He said there was no message saying he was busy, playing football, or unavailable. Instead, the actor simply received no response.

The incident happened while Holland was attending the Monaco Grand Prix. According to the actor, he was watching the event while Haaland was nearby in another hospitality area.

Despite being close to each other at the event, the two never ended up meeting.

Will Tom Holland Still Invite Haaland for Dinner?

When Jimmy Fallon asked whether the dinner invitation was still available, Holland responded with humour.

The actor joked that Haaland might not accept the invitation anymore after England defeated Norway and moved forward in the World Cup.

Although the exchange was playful, both Holland and Fallon praised Haaland’s football abilities and described him as one of the best players in the world.

Tom Holland Talks About Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey

During the interview, Holland also discussed his upcoming movie The Odyssey, directed by Christopher Nolan.

The actor revealed that his team initially presented him with different project possibilities, including a vampire movie and a science-fiction film.

However, after travelling to Los Angeles for a meeting with Nolan, Holland discovered the real project and accepted the role immediately.

Spider-Man Created a Scheduling Challenge

Holland also revealed that working on The Odyssey created a major scheduling conflict with Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Both films were scheduled to begin production on the same day. However, the Spider-Man team understood the importance of Holland’s role in Nolan’s film and adjusted the production schedule.

As a result, Holland was able to continue working on both major projects.

Upcoming Movies Featuring Tom Holland

Fans will soon see Tom Holland return to cinemas in two major releases.

The Odyssey is set to arrive in theatres on Friday, while Spider-Man: Brand New Day will begin its theatrical run on July 31.

Paramount’s $111bn Warner Bros deal blocked by States lawsuit

Published

KARACHI – A coalition of US state attorneys general has filed a lawsuit seeking to block Paramount’s proposed $111 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, arguing that the deal would significantly reduce competition in the entertainment industry.

The lawsuit, filed on Monday in a federal court in California, alleges that the merger violates US antitrust laws by combining two of Hollywood’s largest film studios. The states argue that the transaction would lead to higher prices, fewer theatrical releases and reduced quality and diversity of content.

Who filed the lawsuit?

The legal challenge was brought by attorneys general from Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon and Washington. They have asked the court to prevent Paramount from completing the deal while the case is being heard. If necessary, they also plan to seek a temporary restraining order.

According to the complaint, the merger would leave four major studios controlling more than 85 per cent of the US market for wide-release theatrical films. The states claim Paramount would hold more than 30pc of the blockbuster film distribution market, increasing its bargaining power over cinema operators.

The lawsuit argues that cinemas could be forced to surrender a larger share of ticket revenue while facing stricter conditions on discounts and complimentary tickets. As a result, theatres may increase ticket prices and reduce investment in premium experiences such as luxury seating, larger screens and upgraded concessions.

State officials also claim the merger would weaken competition in the licensing of basic cable television channels. Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery currently rank among the largest providers of cable programming, with rights to major sporting events, including March Madness and Major League Baseball broadcasts.

California Attorney General Rob Bonta said the proposed merger would harm consumers, theatres and cable distributors by reducing competition and limiting content choices.

“The unlawful merger of these two entertainment behemoths would lead to higher prices, lower quality, and less content for film and television,” Bonta said.

What was Paramount’s reaction to Antitrust claims?

Paramount dismissed the lawsuit, calling it a flawed interpretation of US antitrust law. The company argued that the combined business would be better equipped to compete with dominant technology and streaming companies such as Netflix, Amazon, and Google.

According to Paramount, the merger would create a stronger media company capable of investing in premium content while offering more opportunities for creators, workers and consumers.

The company also warned that blocking the transaction would strengthen the market position of major technology firms rather than promote competition.

Justice Department Already Approved Deal

The legal action comes despite the US Department of Justice approving Paramount’s acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery in June without requiring asset sales or other concessions.

However, the merger still requires approval from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), UK competition regulators and the European Commission.

Regulators in China, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Ukraine, Serbia and North Macedonia have already cleared the transaction, while several European countries have also approved foreign investment aspects of the deal.

Consumer Lawsuit Adds Pressure

The states’ lawsuit is not the only legal challenge facing Paramount.

Earlier this year, Paramount subscribers filed a separate lawsuit claiming the merger would reduce competition in streaming, theatrical distribution and news services. The plaintiffs argue the combined company could raise subscription prices, reduce content output and tighten control over licensing and distribution.

To address industry concerns, Paramount Chief Executive David Ellison has pledged to release at least 30 theatrical films annually with a minimum 45-day exclusive cinema window while continuing to operate Paramount and Warner Bros. as separate studios.

Industry analysts, however, have questioned whether the company can sustain those commitments while managing an estimated $79 billion in debt following the merger.

Key Points:

  • A coalition of US states has filed an antitrust lawsuit to stop Paramount’s proposed $111 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery.
  • The states argue the merger would reduce competition in theatrical film distribution and cable television licensing.
  • Officials warn the deal could result in higher prices, fewer movies in cinemas, and less consumer choice.
  • Paramount rejects the allegations, saying the merger would strengthen competition against streaming giants such as Netflix, Amazon and Google.
  • The US Justice Department has already approved the transaction, but several regulatory reviews and legal challenges remain pending.
