LAHORE – Pakistan will begin dispatching nearly 34.5 tonnes of mangoes to 76 countries and destinations from July 2 under the prime minister’s Mango Diplomacy 2026 initiative, according to official documents issued by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP).

The documents show that 34,480 kilogrammes of mangoes, packed in 6,896 boxes weighing five kilogrammes each, will be sent on behalf of the prime minister to heads of state, heads of government and other dignitaries.

The consignments will be supplied by Khanewal-based exporter MG Agri Foods (Pvt.) Ltd., while Al Raaziq International (Pvt.) Ltd. has been appointed as the freight forwarding agent.

According to the documents, Saudi Arabia will receive the largest consignment of 3,500kg, followed by Turkiye with 2,250kg. The United Kingdom and China have each been allocated 2,000kg.

Qatar and the United Arab Emirates will each receive 1,500kg, while Bahrain has been allocated 1,375kg. The United States will receive 1,250kg, followed by Kuwait and Oman with 1,000kg each. Iran has been allocated 875kg and Kazakhstan 800kg.

TDAP has directed the Department of Plant Protection, airport authorities, customs officials and the Anti-Narcotics Force to make the necessary arrangements for the consignments and nominate focal persons to ensure smooth coordination.

The documents state that most of the shipments are expected to be dispatched through Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore, Multan International Airport and Islamabad International Airport, subject to flight availability.

According to the official correspondence, the consignments carry “no commercial value” and are being sent by the Government of Pakistan solely for diplomatic and promotional purposes.
