LAHORE – TECNO has highlighted the durability features of its SPARK 50 Pro smartphone, which combines SGS-certified drop protection with IP68, IP69 and maximum-level dust resistance.
According to TECNO, the SPARK 50 Pro is designed to withstand some of the everyday conditions that can damage smartphones, including accidental drops, rain, dust and water exposure.
The company has equipped the device with what it calls its “689” Ultra Tough Protection system, with the durability claims supported by SGS Five-Star Premium Drop certification.
SGS-certified drop protection
TECNO says the SPARK 50 Pro underwent drop testing from 1.2 metres across multiple angles, reflecting falls that can occur when a phone slips from a pocket or hand.
The company also says the smartphone was tested for extreme-height drops of up to 1.8 metres.
According to TECNO, the device survived 41 consecutive falls while maintaining stable operation. The testing also covered the phone’s corners and edges, rather than focusing only on its flat surfaces.
The camera module has also been reinforced. TECNO says it is surrounded by aviation-grade 6-series aluminium and manufactured using CNC machining to provide additional impact resistance while keeping the structure relatively lightweight.
SPARK 50 Pro offers 6-metre IP68 protection
The smartphone carries an IP68 rating and is certified for immersion in water up to 6 metres for 30 minutes, according to TECNO.
The company says the protection is intended to provide additional resistance against situations such as sudden rain, accidental spills and splashes during everyday use.
However, water-resistance performance can vary depending on testing conditions, and users should still avoid deliberately exposing the phone to liquids unless required by the manufacturer’s guidelines.
IP69 protection against high-pressure water
In addition to IP68, the SPARK 50 Pro has an IP69 rating, which covers resistance to high-pressure water jets.
TECNO says the device can withstand water jets at temperatures of up to 80°C under the relevant testing conditions.
The feature is particularly aimed at users who work outdoors or in environments where phones can be exposed to water, dirt and other harsh conditions.
Maximum-level dust protection
The SPARK 50 Pro also offers Level 6 dust protection, which TECNO describes as a complete seal against dust ingress.
The company says this can be useful in outdoor, construction and workshop environments, as well as during travel and everyday use in dusty conditions.
TECNO says customers can view demonstrations of the phone’s water-immersion and drop-protection capabilities at participating partner outlets across Pakistan.

The TECNO SPARK 50 Pro is available nationwide in Pakistan at a price of Rs74,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration.
