Netanyahu nominates Trump for Nobel Peace Prize

Washington – In light of recent developments, the Prime Minister of the State of Israel nominated U.S. President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize. Netanyahu presented Trump with a nomination letter addressed to the prize committee during a dinner at the White House.

Even though Israel nominated Trump as a peacemaker, its own military campaign in Gaza continues, and the death toll among Palestinians has risen to a horrific 57,523.

Earlier last year, the arrest warrants for the Israeli Prime Minister and Defence Minister were issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC), the criminal court backed by the United Nations, for the allegations of war crimes and crimes against humanity.

During Netanyahu’s dinner at the White House, he complimented Trump for his peace efforts. It is pertinent to mention here that Trump has previously been nominated by his supporters, and the latter often expressed their discontent with the Nobel Peace Prize committee for not acknowledging his efforts.

His previous achievements were brokering a peace deal between India and Pakistan, along with Kosovo and Serbia. Donald Trump often argues that he is much more capable and deserving of the award than his predecessor, Barack Obama.

Last month, Pakistan decided to recommend Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, highlighting his role in easing tensions between India and Pakistan. However, after the U.S. joined Israel in military actions against Iran, this decision faced criticism from Pakistani lawmakers and civil society, and ultimately, no official nomination was submitted.

The most important part of Trump’s campaign was that he is a “peacemaker” who holds the power to resolve conflicts and promote peace; however, the war in Ukraine and Gaza continues.
