LAHORE – The LHC fines woman Rs100,000 after Lahore High Court Chief Justice Aalia Neelum found errors in a contempt petition and observed that the application had unnecessarily consumed the court’s time.
The order was issued during the hearing of a petition filed by Ashba Kamran against Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Punjab Chief Secretary, and the Speaker of the Punjab Assembly.
The petitioner appeared before the court in person, while Additional Advocate General Muhammad Naveed Sheikh and Assistant Advocate General Waqas Umar represented the Punjab government.
