KARACHI – The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has officially released the provincial merit list under the PML-N government’s most renowned initiative, the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme, confirming students’ eligibility status.

According to reports by officials, the government has launched a dedicated online portal that is now live to allow students to verify their selection status, whether they have been placed on a waiting list or have been deemed ineligible due to any academic or administrative reasons.

The government shared the merit list on the official website to assist students. Merit lists are also shared on social media channels via designated Student Focal Persons (SFPs). In order to ensure transparency, students who believe that there is an error in their status are requested to contact their assigned focal person immediately upon suspicion and submit the required documents. The deadline for objections or corrections is July 4, 2025. After the said date, no requests by students will be entertained.

Key points to remember:

  • Visit the official portal to check your merit status.

  • Reach out to your SFP with proper documentation if you encounter a problem in the status.

  • Act before July 4, 2025, to avoid missing out!

The government emphasized that University officials have to verify their status as soon as possible to ensure they are included in the scheme and don’t miss out on the golden opportunity due to unresolved issues.
