ISLAMABAD – India launched a military operation in wake of rising tensions with Pakistan however, “Operation Sindoor,” is deemed a “reckless and unfounded provocation” by Islamabad.
Due to indiscriminate strikes on civilian areas, including religious places, and residential areas. These strikes are assumed to have resulted in injuries and considerable chaos. Indian officials maintained the operation focused on nine targets within Pakistan and Pakistani-administered Kashmir that were allegedly militant-held, justifying it as vengeance for the Pahalgam terrorist attack on April 22, which claimed 26 lives, including a Nepali national. They claimed the strikes were made with no intent to escalate tensions in military zones.
Pakistan military spokesman Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry lauded the arch rival’s attack and vowed a decisive response. Accounts from the affected regions reported mysterious explosions during bouts of darkness that took place with power outages.
The result was uncalled aggression towards already vulnerable civilians, as termed from Islamabad’s perspective.
Pakistan retaliated as per the International Law, claiming to fire missiles on what they defined as Indian military bases. Defense Minister Khawaja Asif warned that escalation could elicit an equally sustained response.
